How You Can Meet and Know God Personally

In the beginning God created man in his own image, with a pure heart and a clear conscience, to have fellowship with him. But man disobeyed God, and then sin entered his heart. Since then, we have all inherited the sinful nature and fallen short of the glory of God. Our fellowship with him was broken, for He created us without sin. And because of our sins and according to God's law, we are all condemned to eternal punishment.

But God loved us so much that, despite our sins, He sent Jesus, his beloved Son and Messiah, to proclaim the good news of God's kingdom, to heal the sick, to make disciples, to suffer for our healing, and to die for the forgiveness of our sins. Jesus, the perfect Lamb of God, offered himself by shedding his blood to take upon himself the punishment we deserved for breaking God's law. But since Jesus never sinned, God raised him from the dead on the third day after being buried. And He lifted him up and crowned him and seated him at his right hand on the heavenly throne.

Through his death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus paid the price to save us from the dominion of sin and the eternal punishment that comes from it, so that we may be forgiven, justified, and reconciled to God his Father in an intimate relationship with him.

The Bible says in Romans 6:23 that “the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Now it's up to us to believe in Jesus and desire a new life to follow God's holy ways, not the sinful ways of the world.

What are the steps for you to be forgiven, justified, and reconciled to God?

   ● You must believe that Jesus is God's Son and Messiah who shed his blood for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day for our salvation.
   ● You must sincerely repent of all your sinful and worldly ways, and submit to God to receive a tender heart and follow his holy and heavenly ways.
   ● You must be immersed in water in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins. You must die and bury your old self in the water, and resurrect in a new life to follow Jesus and his words.
   ● You must receive and be filled with the Holy Spirit, which is the spiritual glory, presence, and power of God. It is, in fact, the same Spirit of God and of Jesus who will enable you to have intimate communion with both of them, live a holy life, perform the same miraculous works that Jesus performed on Earth, and boldly proclaim the good news of what Jesus did in your life and for all humanity. God will instill in you the desire to be filled with his Spirit through prayer in heavenly tongues and praise, to meditate on his Word and obey it, to love everyone and to forgive those who hurt you.

Sin separates us from God and leads to eternal damnation. But God's greatest desire is to forgive us, justify us, and reconcile us to him. He took the first step by sending his beloved Son to pay for our sins. What will you do about it? It's your decision. He loves you and patiently waits for you to surrender your life to him and follow Jesus wholeheartedly as your Lord. In fact, Jesus is the one appointed by God to be the Judge of the living and the dead at the end of times.

○ For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

○ Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.” (John 3:5)

○ Jesus answered, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

○ Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” (Acts 2:38-39)

○ God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. How much more then, since we have now been justified by his blood, will we be saved through him from wrath. For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, then how much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life. (Romans 5:8-10)

○ Just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, in this way death spread to all people, because all sinned. If by the one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive the overflow of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:12, 17)
