The Active Life of a Disciple of Jesus

1. We must be born again in Christ Jesus

Jesus said that no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit (John 3:1-8).  That is, we must be born again to live a new life with a new heart and a new Spirit.  And this new life is given to us by God the Father when we repent of our sins and turn to him, are baptized in water into His Son Jesus who died and rose again for the remission of our sins, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit in us will allow us to serve God and testify of Jesus everywhere for the rest of our lives.  (See 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 2:37-38; Acts 1:8)

2. We must personally worship and know God the Father and the Lord Jesus

Once we have been born again, we must then fulfill the first commandment to love God with all our hearts.  This means that we must dedicate ourselves to spending intimate moments of daily communion with God our Father and with Jesus our Lord, meditating on the divine Word and praying in tongues of the Holy Spirit.  God gave us his Word so that we can strengthen ourselves spiritually and renew our minds in order to know his truth and his perfect will recorded in the Bible.  He also gave us his Spirit so that we can be in his presence to praise him and pray without ceasing, understand his Word and put it into practice, and be filled with his power and compassion for our neighbor so that we can do what Jesus did.  (See John 4:23-24; Matthew 6:5-13; 11:28-30; John 1:3; Joshua 1:7-8; John 8:31-32; 15:1-8; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; James 1:19-21; 1 Peter 2:1-3; 1 Corinthians 14:1-4; Jude 1:20-21; Philippians 4:6-7)

3. We must witness and evangelize the lost, heal the sick, and make disciples 

God's desire is that we can fulfill his second commandment to love others.  This is accomplished when at every opportunity we tell others about our new life in Jesus Christ and what He did to save mankind.  We must faithfully proclaim to others the Good News of salvation from the power of sin and reconciliation with God through the sacrifice of Jesus, and also what God expects us to do accordingly.  We must also heal the sick out of compassion, and do good to our neighbor.  The goal is to make disciples of Jesus among those who hear the Gospel, repent of their sins and turn to God, believe the Good News, are baptized in water into Jesus, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  (See John 4:31-38; Luke 10:1-20; Mark 16:15-18; Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 5:14-21)

4. We must organize house churches and live as a family

Once we have managed to make disciples, we must take care of them and train them for the active life of discipleship.  We need to organize a house church of active disciples who meet regularly to eat together, celebrate the Lord’s Supper, sing praises, share God's Word, pray together, and team up to faithfully and regularly go out and evangelize.  It is recommended and necessary that the disciples agree to live together in the same house to reduce expenses and live as a family in order to help each other, and also to invest more time and united effort to be able to regularly and effectively witness and evangelize two by two.  (See Hebrews 10:23-25; 1 Corinthians 14:26; Ephesians 5:18-21; Colosenses 3:15-16; Acts 1:12-14; 2:42-47)

5. We must organize new house churches to advance the kingdom of God everywhere

When the house church has built a number of approximately twelve active members, then the disciples should be willing to organize other house churches as they evangelize abroad and gain new disciples.  The goal is to multiply and reproduce quickly, and for house churches to be small groups and easy to operate, so that God's Kingdom advances everywhere under the guidance and power of the Word and Holy Spirit of God.  (See 2 Timothy 2:2; Acts 4:32; 1 Thessalonians 1:8-10)

Jesus’ Immersion in Water

As followers of Jesus Christ, we must verify well that every new believer is ready to be baptized or fully immersed in water. The reason why is because we have seen many people getting baptised in water, but afterwards they do nothing or very little for the Lord. And this is because they didn't understand the real meaning of immersion in water, in the first place. 

JESUS was also immersed in water, but not because of sin, as He had a sinless nature. He was baptised by John the Baptist as a sign of COMMITMENT before his Father in Heaven, to WORK for Him, and also SUFFER and DIE and RESURRECT to take away the sins of the world. His only focus and goal was to redeem us from our sins and sinful nature by the shedding of his blood, so that we could be justified and reconciled with God his Father, and receive his Holy Spirit. (See Matthew 3:13-17; 20:20-28; 26:26-28; Mark 1:9-11; 10:35-45; Luke 3:21-22; 12:49-50; John 1:29-34; 3:1-21; Romans 5:6-20; Colossians 1:12-20; Titus 3:3-7; 1Peter 1:1-9; 3:18-22; Revelation 1:4-6.)

Because of his complete and unconditional surrender to do the will of his Father, Jesus immediately received the powerful anointing of the Holy Spirit upon Him, to be able to perform miracles and be a powerful WITNESS and a yielded VESSEL to DO the will of God and FINISH the work. (John 4:1-42)

What is the real meaning of baptism or full immersion in water?

> It's more than just a prayer of deliverance and washing of sins. It's not only deciding about not sinning anymore and just having a "holy life”, but about 100 % REPENTANCE and putting the KINGDOM of GOD and his RIGHTEOUSNESS first. It's about forsaking our own comfort zone and the idea of having just a "decent life" and going to weekly “church gatherings”. It’s about focusing on the HEAVENLY THINGS at all times, and not on the things of the flesh and of this world. (See Matthew 6:19-34; chapter 25; Luke 12:13-53; 24:44-49; Colossians 3:1-17.)

> It's about denying ourselves and our own will; about being willing to suffer shame and persecution for Christ's sake; and about following and obeying Him by LOVING and PREACHING the GOSPEL to people around in a daily basis. (See Mark 8:34-38; 16:15-18; Matthew 28:18-20; Luke 10:1-24; 24:44-49; John 14:12; 20:21-23; Romans chapter 8; 2Corinthians chapter 4.)

> It’s about being willing to lose our own life, and forsake our loved ones and house and material things and job and career, for Jesus' name and for living and preaching the Gospel at every opportunity. (See Mathew chapter 10; 19:16-30; Mark 8:31-38; 10:17-31; Luke 14:15-35; 18:18-30; John 12:23-27; Hebrews 10:32-39.)

> It's about having a big desire to constantly LOVE and WORSHIP and KNOW and SERVE GOD and JESUS with all our heart and soul and mind. It's about having a desire to be a living sacrifice, by praying in the Holy SPIRIT and meditating on the Holy WORD daily! It's about having a big desire to continually love OTHERS as we love ourselves! (See Matthew 22:36-40; Mark 12:28-34; Luke 10:25-37; John 4:23-24; Romans 12:1-2; 2Thessalonians 2:13-14; Hebrews 13:8-16; Jude 20-21.)

> It's not about incorporating Jesus in our life and continuing doing our own thing... It's about dying to our old life and resurrecting with Jesus in a newness of life, to DO God's will and LOVE and SERVE Him unconditionally, as Jesus did on Earth. "If anyone is in Christ, he is a complete new creation, as old things have passed away, and all things have become new!" (2Corinthians 5:17)

This is the real meaning of immersion in water: a COMMITMENT for life to LOVE and SERVE God wholeheartedly, and become an active WITNESS who boldly and openly proclaim the Good News of salvation in Christ Jesus, through the filling and anointing of the Holy Spirit!

By God's grace we are saved through FAITH in Jesus’ Blood shed for us, so that we may DO the WORKS of love toward others, as faith without loving deeds is non-existent at all! "Come Out From Among Them & Be Separate!"

We are entering in very difficult and dangerous, but exciting times. In fact, the church is going to be divided in two factions between:  1) those who compromise and ignore the Word of God, being solely interested in following the lukewarm and worldly ecumenical, established Christian church;  and 2) those who are outside of all human hierarchy, and wholeheartedly follow and obey the Lord Jesus and the truth of God's Word, who really love each other and work together and sacrifice themselves to advance the Kingdom.

The Bible exhort us:  "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: 'I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.' Therefore 'Come out from among them and be separate [from all ECCLESIASTIC PYRAMIDAL STRUCTURE], says the Lord God. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.' 'I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord God Almighty.'" (2Corinthians 6:14-18)

We are separated, thank God, from all pyramidal, ecclesiastical structure of man for several years now. We are only part of the body of Christ, the true spiritual church made up of faithful living stones--the family of God! (See 1Corinthians 3:1-17; Ephesians 2:11-22; 1Peter 1:1-10.)

We are committed to obey and follow our Lord Jesus and his Word, proclaiming  to every person the Gospel of redemption of the soul from sin, through his sacrifice and resurrection; and also equipping new disciples for God's service. (See Acts chapter 2; 2Corinthians 5:14-21.) 

Naturally, the devil doesn't like the fact that we are Bible fundamentalist and active disciples of Jesus Christ, who bear witness of the faith continuously and openly.  And of course the opposition and persecution are guaranteed at any time. (See John 15:18-27; 2Timothy 3:10-17; Jude 3-4,16-25.)

Jesus warned us:  "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:9-14)

The apostles John and Paul made it clear in the letters that there are many deceiving antichrists who have come from the congregation of faith; and that the greatest deceiver, the Antichrist, was about to come one day to declare himself as "Christ" and "God" of this world. (See 2Thessalonians 2:1-4.)

“Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. (1John 2:18-19)

After studying the Word of God on Bible prophecy for several years, we believe that the Antichrist currently knows very well that his world ecumenical alliance will not be well received and respected for a long time by all, for instance, by the radical fundamentalist Muslims.

Because of this, the 'man of sin' is engineering behind the scenes a sinister plan to break the ecumenical pact between religions at any given time. He will convince everyone that he is the true "Christ" and "Saviour", who solves all the problems of the world, proclaiming himself as the world leader and even "God". (See Daniel 8:23-25; 9:27; 11:28-45; 2Thessalonians 2:3-4; Revelation 13:3-10; chapter 17.)

He will force all humans to worship him (the Beast) and the devil (the Dragon), with the help of the False Prophet. This one will deceive the whole world by performing false miracles, and will introduce the Abomination of Desolation (or Mark of the Beast). This appears to be a high-tech microchip inserted into the human body of everyone who worships the Antichrist, to be able to buy or sell.  In this way, every human being will be controlled by this sinister totalitarian regime. (See Revelation chapter 13.)

Of course, our King Jesus will come just after the great tribulation that will last three and a half years, to rescue his own and destroy the wicked men and rule over the whole Earth with righteousness. Praise God! Hallelujah! (See Daniel 7:7-14; Matthew 24:15-31; Mark 13:14-27; Revelation 6:12-17; 14:14-20; 19:11-21; 20:1-6.)

Here is a question we should all ask:  "Am I a lukewarm Christian simply following the structure of the passive and compromising Christian church, based on worship services and on teachings and traditions of men?  Or am I a vibrant disciple of Jesus Christ, ready to even give my life for proclaiming his name and the Gospel to the lost at every opportunity?"

 We pray that many will be found true disciples of Jesus, who love and serve God actively and sincerely and without compromise; and who are ready to suffer shame, persecution, deprivation, anguish, pain and even death, to openly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus, the true Christ and Lord and Son of God! (See Mark 8:34-38; 16:15-20; Philippians 3:7-21; 2Timothy 2:1-13; chapter 3; 4:1-8; James 1:2-4,12; 1Peter 1:3-9; 4:12-19.)

"And calling the crowd and his disciples, Jesus said to them: 'If anyone wants to come after me, deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses  his life because of me and the gospel will save her. Well, what good is it for a man to win the whole world and lose his soul?  Well, what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him, when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.'" (Mark 8:34-38)

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: 'For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.' Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:35-39)

True Repentance To God

What was the purpose of God to send his Son and offer Him in sacrifice?

Many believers respond—"to set us free from the eternal punishment in hell." Others say—"to set us free from sin." Both are correct answers, but not complete. 

 (See Hebrews 5:11--6:12.)

If we search the Scriptures we will discover that the real purpose for this so costly sacrifice and redemption is so that we may first receive the Spirit of Jesus in our hearts, and second to have constant communion with him and with his Father in a daily basis, by praying in the Holy Spirit and meditating on the Holy Word. 

 (See Galatians 4:6; 2 Corinthians 3:17-18; Hebrews 8:10-12; Joshua 1:8; John 6:63; 15:1-8; 17:3,17-19; 1 John 1:3; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14; 1 Peter 2:1-5; Jude 20-21.)

The purpose of it is that we become instruments of God's righteousness unto holiness, coming out of this sinful world in spirit, so that we may preach and manifest Jesus to everyone around in a daily basis.

Jesus never said that we have to go to "church" to please God. He never said that the only purpose in life is to repent and be baptised in water so that we don't live in sin, but we continue living a normal life as usual, without abiding in God's Spirit and Word. 

What Jesus meant is that we have to also deny ourselves--refuse to follow our own will--, take up our cross--suffer persecution or rejection for his name and the Gospel's sake--, and follow him daily--study his Word and obey him daily to advance the Kingdom of God and bring many souls to him.

Jesus continued saying that whoever will save or self preserve his own life, will lose the final reward of eternal life. But whoever will lose or sacrifice his life to faithfully proclaim him and the Gospel, the same will be rewarded with complete eternal life. Very sobering!

If we take a thorough look around, we will discover that mainstream Christianity today is extremely religious and lukewarm and inactive and quite far from God's Word discipleship standard. 

Obviously the devil has succeeded nowadays by destroying the fervent and passionate faith that the early disciples of Jesus once lived. The proof of that is the recent rapid increase of the false unity among Catholics, Protestants and Anglicans and other Christian denominations, which promotes lukewarm and worldly Christianity. What a shame and reproach for the Lord!

Where are the true repented and wholehearted children of God and disciples of Jesus who are willing to deny themselves and die for Him and the Gospel's sake daily? 

Where are those who want to die to this corrupted and sinful man's society, and to themselves and their own reputation, and want to be separated from lukewarm mainstream Christianity? 

Where are those who want to forsake all and obey the Lord Jesus wholeheartedly at all time and at any cost, consecrated to advance God's Kingdom on Earth?
